The Ancient Town appointment with my customer
The time when I received this customer's inquiry was at the end of July 2021. At that time, due to the epidemic in Zhengzhou, I was forced to isolate myself at home. We communicated through email and WhatsApp at that time.
The customer made the mobile shelving layout himself and send it to me. After receiving the layout, I had a small talk with our designer about it. Because the height between 2 layers is special, which is not the same as our regular. Then I called our engineer for technical assistance and help. Our engineer said that we have a special solution to deal with the upright column to make it meet the requirement. Then I took the engineer’s advice, I asked our designer to make a layout. After I got the price, I made a detailed quotation to the customer along with our own layout. Meanwhile, I also mentioned some common notes, for example, the floor loading, room height, file holder size, etc. Here we talked of the file size, cause it is pretty important for shelf size accuracy to avoid the hidden danger that some files cannot be put in well.
The customer was very satisfied after receiving our solution and confirmed our problems one by one. In addition, we also prepared some certificates, mobile shelving tests, and authorizations to help the customer to win this mobile shelving project. About 3 weeks later, the customer sent us a PO, which was the first order between us.
After that, we suggest we can make the layout for him directly, which not only saves time for customers but also avoids some mistakes. The necessary info is as follows:
- Room size W*L*H, it will be better if the customer can provide the room layout.
The site measurement is the first step.
- File size H*W*thickness or file type is the most important for design accuracy.
So far, we have cooperated with customers on many projects, and we are tacit. We are partners and also friends. In his spare time, he also talked about his children and the ancient city of Phoenix in China that he longed for. We are both looking forward to the coming of the down and going to Phoenix Ancient City together someday.
